What is the ATP League?
The 270 ATP League is a tournament and ranking system designed to decipher who the best players of 270 are! Players participate in tournaments run by the ATP League, and accumulate points throughout the year towards their rankings. The points system is based off of the ATP tennis rankings. Points from a tournament last for 12 months, and then are removed. If you win the January championship, you will win and keep those 2,000 points for 12 months. The next January tournament, you will lose the 2,000 points, and they will be replaced by however many points you receive in that tournament.
ATTENTION: As the ATP League grows in size, we will do our best to incorporate everybody we can each month. Due to the nature of the league and points system, we must have people sit out if we do not have the space for all participants. This will be decided by ranking -- we will fill the brackets from top to bottom, and the players not ranked high enough will wait until the following month to sign up again. This is why we encourage monthly participation. It gives you your best shot to be able to participate in future tournaments!

Tournament Structure
There are two different tournament structures in the ATP League. In the months of January, April, July, and October, we will host "Grand Slam" tournaments. Grand Slams are a single 128 player tournament. In the other 8 months, we will host 3 smaller tournaments, the ATP 1000, ATP 500, and ATP 250. The ATP 1000 is a 64 player tournament, the ATP 500 is a 32 player tournament, and the ATP 250 is a 16 player tournament.

Seeding
Seeding for all tournaments are based on the same criteria. First, players are seeded based on ATP Ranking, which is determined by points accumulated in ATP tournaments. The first tiebreaker will be leaderboard wins, with the second tiebreaker being leaderboard win percentage. All new additions to the ATP League will begin at 0 points, and will be seeded after returning players. New additions are then seeded based on the above tiebreakers.
We are aware this is not a perfect system, but it allows for us to create an objective ranking based solely on performance. As more data is collected, the more accurate the seeding/rankings will become. We encourage everyone to return each month to obtain the most points possible!
